The Common Scenario
Toners Plus targets business currently with the big-box stores such as Staples and Office Max/Depot. When contacting a potential new customer, we typically hear, “Our company can’t use anything but OEM (name brand) toner because compatibles don’t work!”
Why is this the case? Decision-makers feel if they have tried compatible toners from the big-box stores and the print performance was mediocre then there are no better options. Not so!
The difference: We use a meticulously vetted network of toner manufacturers to develop performance-based toner programs. In the event a particular toner has unacceptable performance across the network, OEM is recommended.
Real-life example: In 2016, we approached a furniture supply company with 3,000+ locations across the United States. They had a contract with Staples and using OEM toner because, “Compatible toner doesn’t work.”
After a month-long toner performance evaluation, they allowed Toners Plus to supply their stores nationally. Since then Toners Plus has provided 15,000+ toners over three years with less than 5 returns and made them a believer that, “Compatibles can work!”
What we don’t do: Toners Plus does not participate in bids to supply toner. Why not? The deciding factor in most bids is price, which often comes at the expense of performance. Toners Plus provides performance first at a fair price, which has proven itself time and time again in providing customers with a problem-free program at better pricing than big-box stores.
